Natural gas futures: A short-term decrease is possible

According to CME Group advanced data for natural gas futures markets, open interest remained unstable and fell by more than 9K contracts on Wednesday. Volume in the same line reversed two consecutive daily increases and fell by roughly 90,000 contracts.

Natural gas: More consolidation

Natural gas prices jumped for the third day in a row on Wednesday. The daily gain coincided with declining open interest and volume, indicating a possible corrective move in the short future. Looking at the big picture, the commodity is projected to keep the current consolidation going for the foreseeable future.
